2 Do Or Not 2 Do?!

After a long and boring Friday, I’m home, clicking through my “click list” and what do I see? AM’s “I don’t believe in anything that you do believe” post! So I read it and try to digest it. But I can’t agree with all of it. I am still trying, but I just can’t! I am assuming that he must have had bad day and his “not to do” list is still awaiting a HEAVY reconsideration! Since I feel extremely picky tonight, I would appreciate some answers from Mr Amir Khane Goldaste and all who have commented on his post.

For instance, let me pick on the subjects that have been mentioned twice on your list. I honestly cannot understand the logic behind the “don’t love and don’t hate” suggestion. If it means “not giving a $hit“, is it a general suggestion? Should I not give a $hit even when my brain says that I should? What kind of love are we talking about here? The one I know stays with me until the day I die. No matter what happens, it is always a part of me and can never be forgotten or lost. But if we are talking about how I felt about my first bicycle, well… That’s another story! I hate Whisky. I can’t stand the disgusting smell of malt! If I am not to hate Whisky anymore, and not love it at the same time, what on earth am I suppose to do then? [Don't give me "don't drink" because I give you "don't smoke" in return!]

I picked on Love and Hatred, because I personally think that most people misunderstand the true meaning of these words. How many times a day do you hear “Oooh, I love strawberry milkshake” or “Yuk, I hate Starbucks“?! And how many times a day do you SEE love or hatred? Do these mean the same to you? Not to me. Seeing a mother’s face blossoming because of her child’s smile or a young man worshiping his girlfriend are different to me than “loving milkshake“. Please reconsider your list dude!
