Well, dear anonymous, I'm no one to judge whether who's the bad guy or who's the good guy. My post was about the movie. Brokeback Mountain was a simple and believable romantic story that can happen anywhere, at any time between two person of any sex.

I never said that Ennis and Jack were not guilty of leaving their wives and kids. You were the one who came up with this idea. Cheating is bad (exept for the PS2 games :p). Full stop.

As for the typo, one in nine paragraphs with no spell check. Give me a break!

P.S: I will bring the gay subject up as soon as I find some free time. You know, it takes time to rape religious fanatics, without making them kick and scream! Woooyeah! I'm a bad boyh baby!

And who said all men are like that or that all women are saints! I know perfectly well there's no black and white, and in fact the best part of life rests in all the shades of gray in between.

Oops, and by the way, "parrents", if you mean the father and mother of a person, is spelt with only one "r", i.e. PARENTS.
:)

Haven’t seen the movie, and certainly I am not a gay fan, just like I am not a cricket fan which I have never played and I don’t even know the rules. So I better leave no comment on gay stuff.
But about that family thing and husbands having fun instead taking care of family, well as Jimbo mentioned life ain’t no black and white. If there are thousand of husband who just don’t bother about their families, there are thousands wives as well who don’t give a damn about their families. In contrast there are thousands and thousands men and women who are practically doing anything, anything and anything just to keep their families happy and proud. So as long as those men and women are living I don’t dare me self to criticise husbands or wives in general. If I can name somebody I will but no way I would say yeah most of the husbands are like that or most of the wives are doing that, That is not just right!

Would there be any broken heart wife if Ennis and Jack's love was accepted by their siciety from the beginning?

It's like banning a kid from eating chocolate. You will have chocolate in your own room hiding from your parrents and if you don't you will regret it for the rest of your life. Every single time you someone eating chocolate, you remember your childhood. Kids love chocolate. If the parrents accept this fact and let the kid enjoy the chocolate sensibly and if they teach the kid to brush his/her teeth, what can possibly go wrong? I say nothing!

And remember, there are also men who are busy taking care of their families while their wives are having fun! Nothing is black and white! Not even a black and white photo!

What can I say? I saw the movie, and I did cry a lot, for my own reasons, but I didn't like it all in the end.
I can't understand why you're supposed to forgive someone who's betraying his wife and children for so long and in such a very organised way just because they are gay. I think this film should be an occasion to show appreciation of all those women who, no matter what, take care of their family while the husband is having fun. And in the end, it seemed to me it all boiled down to that "positive-discrimination" which is, after all, just discrimination with a nicer name.
(sorry about my comment, feel free to delete it! but I so disliked the film I just couldn't help it)
