Home, Sweet Home!
I’m back home after a short trip to Paris. Thanks to Eurostar, my back hurts like a <bleep> and I have to use that stinky “DeepHeat” stuff to ease the pain! I think their seats are designed to cause you permanent back and neck damage! I had to stand up every half hour and stretch like a cat and still, I’m like this! Anyway… It seems that whatever I write these days, turn into angry rants. I don’t want to imagine myself as a grumpy old man who’s mumbling and grumbling at everyone and everything! No freakin’ way. Ain’t gonna happen. Not at least I’m 90 years old! Where was I? Aaah, you know that feeling when you walk into your house after been away for a while? Nothing beats it, really. A quick visit to the loo. A hot shower. A fresh cup of coffee and soon the earth begins to slow down. Your eyes get heavy and you realise how much you’ve missed your own bed.
But as soon as you walk into your bedroom and see your unpacked stuff, you remember that you’re shaver needs to be recharged and there won’t be enough time to do it tomorrow. So you open your luggage to get the shaver and its charger out. But then, you say to yourself, “d’oh, let’s finish it all and get it over with!” So you unpack everything and put them back where they belong. Now you feel like having a little something for snack. Off your way to the kitchen to see what’s in the fridge. Nothing! Damn! You’ve emptied everything before you leave. Not even milk. Damn! Pizza? Pizza isn’t a snack, is it?! It’s two in the morning, anyway. England shuts down after 6 PM! “Damn it, but I’m hungry.” “Sorry.” Pffft, so you go back to your room and start typing. By the time you’re done, your shaver is charged up. Click publish. Log off. Plug the shaver out. “Spend a penny.” Think about brushing your teeth for a second and do the right thing. Go to bed. Nite-nite. Sweet dreams, you grumpy old man!
