I see your point. Perhaps I should have explained it properly... What I think is that there is no end to any of these. There is no Armageddon. Our life is like a loop of human caused crisis, government propaganda followed by war which will result in more crisis and complete the loop.

Daydreaming that somebody will come down from the above someday and saves us from our miseries wouldn't hurt, but wouldn't solve the real issues either. As far as history books tell, we have been stuck in this loop since day one and as far as I can see, we will be in it for ever.

Those two don't really complement each other, except roughly, so I don't exactly know what kind of conclusion you expect to be drawn... Wars happen and are often only to serve the government's interests, sure... Also, JH's are a little strange and DO take themselves and their interpretations of the bible too seriously, and the pamphlets are annoying, as is talking to them. They definitely prefer the 'preaching at you' to the 'talking with you'.

But if that was an argument against some form or another of Armageddon in the future... it could come tomorrow, a week from now, a millennial, but like a thief in the night when we least expect it. How would we know? Or we could kill ourselves off with global warming and disease and poverty and starvation and nuclear war in a few decades. *shrugs*

My son, I am sorry for what they do in my name. Here listen to my story:
One day, I was travelling, I saw a group of people crying on a person, I went closer and I told the guy, get up and don’t be a child. Suddenly the guy stood and looked in my eyes with anger. The rest of people thought it was a miracle and after that day they followed me. At first it was fun as I got lots of free food and very nice women but you know the end of the story. I told everyone that only he knows the truth but it didn’t work. I wish I had asked the name of that guy. If I knew his name I could say it and none of these would happen.
