BBC.co.uk: Is stealing wireless wrong? How secure do you feel when it comes to modern technology?!

I know I am pretty much armed to the teeth. I do not use the same IDs and passwords for my emails, BB accounts and softwares. My personal digital archives and private files are, well, they are private! My TV receiver password isn’t “0000.” My router password is not “password.” My mobile Bluetooth name is not SonyEricsson W810i and my SSID is not NETGEAR! If you switch my phone off, you can’t use it again unless you know the four digit password. And no, it’s not the same as my credit card PIN. The nine character password that I use for my wireless home network is known to only one person on this planet other than myself! In fact, I don’t think I do have a default password at all!

So, what about you? Are you happy with the factory defaults such as “1234, 0000, and password” or are you secure?! Do you share your wireless signal with your neighbours and everybody else in range? Don’t you ever worry that a sick pedophile might use your internet connection to download child pornography? Who’s to blame if something like that happens one day? If you can’t take a few minutes to secure your gadgets, you are the only one to blame. Do something about it before it’s too late.
